Support

Help with scanning, exports, agent connections and privacy requests.

Effective:

Contact Mokutori

Mokutori is made by chekusu Inc. For product help, email support@mokutori.com. For privacy requests or a security concern, email contact@mokutori.com. You can also use the company contact form and mention “Mokutori”.

Include your app version, iPad model, iPadOS version, the feature involved and a short description of what happened. For connection problems, also identify the agent service and approximate time of the error. Send a redacted screenshot or sample only if it is needed.

Do not send passwords, email verification codes, pairing QR codes, API keys or your full scan library. For a privacy request, use the subject “Mokutori privacy request”; for a security concern, use “Mokutori security”. We do not guarantee a response time for ordinary product support. This does not affect statutory deadlines for privacy requests or other mandatory obligations.

Capture and recognize a page

  • Use a supported iPad with iPadOS 18 or later. Allow camera access in iPad Settings if the preview is unavailable. You can also import an image you select from Photos or Files.
  • Place the page in even light, keep it inside the frame and move your hands away. Automatic capture is enabled by default; switch to manual capture if the page will not settle.
  • Keep the scanning screen open while capturing. The camera pauses when the app leaves that screen or moves into the background.
  • Review the corrected image and OCR. Use the available text-correction controls for errors and check important details against the original. A high confidence score is not a guarantee.

Export and keep your own copies

Use the share action to select corrected images, a PDF, originals, text or a complete scan archive. Choose the destination in the system share sheet. The current PDF export contains page images; do not assume it includes a searchable text layer.

A complete archive can contain original images, metadata, corrections and earlier versions. Review it before sharing. Keep an independent export of anything important before changing files, reinstalling the app or replacing the device.

Agent and Muse connection help

Set up the Mokutori receiver using its installation instructions, then review its gateway and receiving agent before opening its pairing link or scanning its QR code. Where the app shows a confirmation screen, check the recipient details before confirming. Earlier builds can begin pairing immediately when a pairing link is opened. Pair only with a host and account you control or trust. Once paired, completed scans are sent automatically, including pages with review warnings.

If a page has not arrived, check the app's connection state, the receiver's availability and its gateway connection. Keep the app open long enough for pending delivery. Confirm the receiver actually obtained the page before asking the AI service to use it. A gateway read receipt is recorded after the connector saves a batch; it is not proof of human reading or successful AI analysis. The connector’s acknowledgement operation clears the batch’s local unread marker only, leaving the saved files in place.

Muse integration currently requires a separately configured receiver/connector. A public directory listing and a shared Mokutori cloud account service are not promised by this page. Follow the access instructions for your installation; do not paste a private key into a public conversation.

See the Muse connector installation and tool reference for setup, authentication, tool behavior and the separate synthetic reviewer environment.

Stop automatic delivery

Stop scanning and processing, then open Mokutori's settings and disconnect the linked agent. The disconnect operation is designed to clear the local link, pairing credentials, unsent queue and prepared encrypted messages. Earlier builds can resume pending work or restore relay state after disconnection. Confirm the disconnect action if your build asks, fully close the app, and have the host operator unpair or block the iPad using the receiver's device-management command. Verify revocation at the receiver before relying on delivery being stopped or scanning further private material.

A transfer already in progress may still complete, and content already sent or accepted by the gateway cannot be recalled. Removing the connector from Muse alone does not unpair the iPad. Disconnecting either side does not remove pages already stored on the iPad, receiver, gateway or AI service.

Delete scans and request removal of other copies

  1. Stop new delivery first. Export anything you need to keep, then follow the delivery-stop steps: stop processing, disconnect, fully close the app and verify that the receiver has revoked or blocked the device.
  2. Manage the local library in Files. The current app has no in-app delete button. In Files, look under “On My iPad” for Mokutori (some older builds may still appear as Mitori), then its Scans folder. Remove only the page folders you intend to delete. After processing has stopped, fully close the app using the app switcher before changing its files, and reopen it afterwards. If Files offers Recently Deleted, manage that copy there as well. If you cannot identify the right folder, contact us before removing it.
  3. Clear unsent relay material separately. Deleting a page folder does not delete an encrypted message already prepared for delivery. Stop processing, disconnect the linked agent and fully close the app. Earlier builds can resume pending work after disconnection; have the receiver operator revoke or block the iPad and confirm the result. A transfer already in progress can still complete.
  4. Ask the receiver operator to remove its copies. Agent and connector hosts keep a separate cache, received records and possibly backups. Marking a scan as read does not delete these files.
  5. Address other copies separately. Check exports, device or cloud backups, the gateway and any AI conversation containing the page. Use each provider's deletion process. A local deletion or app uninstall cannot erase those copies.

For information held by chekusu, email contact@mokutori.com. Describe the relevant service, approximate dates and your request without including unnecessary document content. We may need proportionate verification and cannot directly erase a device or host we do not control. The Privacy Policy explains your rights.

Report a security concern privately

Send a short description and safe reproduction steps to contact@mokutori.com. Do not publish active keys, private scans or personal information in an issue or public post. If a connection key is exposed, disconnect the affected connection and have its operator revoke or replace the key.

For details of data handling and permitted use, read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
